Project Description

Bulla Re­gia is a Ro­man ar­chae­olo­gic­al site in mod­ern-day Tunisi­a. It is known for its myri­ad of mag­ni­fi­cent mo­sa­ic­s. Many of them have suffered ex­tens­ively through neg­lect and the tour­ist­ic and ag­ri­cul­tur­al use of the site.

The visu­al doc­u­ment­a­tion of over 130 mo­sa­ics was ex­ecuted by man­date of the MO­SA­IKON ini­ti­at­ive. The out­put of this work serve as basemaps to doc­u­ment con­ser­va­tion work on site.
